If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have saw I recently went to the Bamford Spa in the Cotswolds at the Haybarn Spa for the most amazing facial and relaxing day. During the day I learnt all about Bamford skincare and completely fell in love with it. I’ve recently been really interested in learning more about natural skincare and it’s benefits so I loved looking into the Bamford products.

I’m a huge skincare junkie, I would almost say I love it more than make up as I feel like if you can get your skincare to work for you all make up will sit right on your skin. I try to do an exfoliating mask or use a chemical mask once a week to buff away any dead skin cells and generally just perk up my skin. I’ve been trying out the Bamford Exfoliating Mask, which is a mask packed with fruit enzymes to eat away at any dead skin. It contains a blend of apple, lemon and red grape extracts to help to gently resurface the skin and promote natural cell regeneration. If you sometimes find that chemical exfoliants are too harsh for sensitive skin then this one could work for you as it also contains aloe vera to soothe and calm the skin. I find that some products can cause redness in my cheeks and I didn’t have that problem at all with this.

I tend to pay a lot of attention to my skin during winter as I really suffer with dry patches and general dullness. To help combat this I like to use a mixture of oils and serums depending on how my skin feels. The Bamford Serum is packed with so many super nourishing ingredients and my skin has been lapping it up. One of the main ingredients is Strawberry Seed Oil, which is amazing at providing intense hydration to the skin. It also contains naturally derived sodium hyaluronate and micro algae to help smooth and firm the skin.

Then finally, as I mentioned I’m a huge fan of oils. I find that they’re the product that can really turn around my skin during the depths of winter. The Bamford Restore Elixir contains a mix of organic rosehip and cacay nut oils which do an amazing job at adding moisture back into the skin. Rosehip is one of my favourite oils to use and I find its the one the helps the most with calming down redness and getting rid of any dry patches. The Restore Elixir also contains retinol and vitamin e to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, so it’s an all around multi purpose product!

Overall my experience with Bamford Skincare and their spa has been incredible. I love how much thought they put into everything they do from their beautiful packaging with quotes from Carol Bamford, the founder inside the boxes to the natural ingredients they lovingly include in every product. Along with the Haybarn Spa in the cotswolds they also have spas in Fortnum & Mason and the Berkeley, which I’d highly recommend as it’s the most relaxing facial I’ve ever had.
