A Much Needed Break in The New Forest

Every now and then you just need a little break, something to take you out of the everyday to help you truly switch off and relax. I recently attended the Carey's Manor House in the New Forest and it helped me do just that. We checked in on the Friday evening to be greeted by a lovely bottle of champagne and ginormous bed. I don't know what it is with hotel rooms especially those with huge beds, but all I ever want to do is watch TV and order room service.

However this evening we had plans for dinner at the Cambium, which is the fine dining restaurant within the hotel. It serves the most delicious menu and more importantly and insane pistachio creme brule. The hotel is actually huge, with a few restaurants and bar areas and also a huge spa and pool area. After a relaxing dinner and evening in the hotel I was booked into the SenSpa for a 90 minute massage and facial. To say I had been looking forward to this all week would be an understatement. I had the SenHarmony full body massage and facial and it was so amazing the be able to zone out for a full 90 minutes. The massage used a mixture of SenSpa products with my favourite being the the Signature Scent Essential Oil as it contains a blend of 8 essential oils that leave you feeling like you could float home.

The facial involved Manuka honey, which I hadn't realised contained so many amazing properties as a treatment. I contains natural acids which eat away at any dead skin cells and then also antibacterial properties to prevent spots.

Shortly after my massage we were booked into the Zen garden for a quick lunch before heading back on the road.

If you're looking for a weekend away and love The New Forest then I'd recommend checking out Carey's Manor Hotel. They have amazing on site facilities and it's located right in the heart of the forest where the drive there is a beautiful canopy of Autumn leaves in red, orange and yellow.
