Clarins Joli Rouge Lipsticks

Clarins Joli Rouge Lipsticks

The Clarins Joli Rouge lipsticks have been some of my favourite lip products for some time now, so when I heard that their formula was being revamped to something even better I got very excited. The new Joli Rouge Lipsticks aim to be even more moisturising than the previous products whilst also packing in a whole load of pigment. The moisture-enriched formula leaves a very balm like texture on the lips whilst the level of pigmentation gives a serious amount of colour with just one application. Along with extra pigment and moisture the new formula also promises to be super long lasting, which I can vouch for after applying the deep purple shade, without any lip liner and it still being there after eating, drinking and a day out and about.

Clarins are launching 25 new shades ranging from light pink to deep berry purple all held in shiny new gold packaging. I think the change from silver packaging to gold really adds a final level of detail making them even prettier than they were before.

If you're looking for a new bold lipstick that lasts and doesn't give you flakey dry lips in the winter then I'd seriously recommend checking these beauties out. My favourite shades are Royal Plum, Rose Berry, Soft Plum and Tender Nude

You can pick up the new Clarins Joli Rouge Lipsticks from John Lewis and Clarins for £19.50 each.

Everyday Make Up

For London Fashion Week this year I thought instead of just doing a follow me around vlog I would also show you the make up look I wore too. This look is a very standard make up look that I probably wear on a daily basis. I think a smokey brown eye and browny nude lips look so stunning together and it's super quick and easy to do. L'Occitane Aromachologie Range

L'Occitane Aromachologie Range

If you're a fan of apothecary esque skincare products then you're going to absolutely love the L'Occitane Aromachologie range. All the products aim to deliver an at home spa experience with top notch ingredients and insanely beautiful Pinterest worthy packaging.

Starting with the most interesting product from the range, the Rebalancing Infusions for the Bath, which are essentially tea bags for your bath. I love bath salts and I love the idea of having individual sachets and treating your bath like a big mug of tea. The pack comes with 5 sachets, which all contain citrus fruit peal and revitalising salts, to rebalance both the body and senses. I love the scent of these as the citrus is quite unusual for a relaxing bath but I find they leave you feeling completely de-stressed.

Next is the Exfoliating shower gel, which is another product that I think is quite novel. You will normally find either a shower gel or a body scrub, but not a product that does both. Firstly the bottle looks so stunning in the bathroom and very Aesop like. The shower gel contains 5 purifying essential oils to really nourish the skin- Cypress, Juniper, Lemon, Thyme and Eucalyptus and then Olive & Lemon particles to gently remove impurities leaving the skin silky soft. The dual action of the oils and the slight exfoliant leave your skin feeling nourished and baby soft.

The last product I've been trying from the range is the Rebalancing Face Mask, which is a clay like mask to remove impurities and tighten pores. It's packed with essential oils to rejuvenate the skin and restore it's natural glow. This is great to use when you're not feeling great and it's showing in your skin. I like to use this on my T-Zone as I find clay masks are a little too harsh for my cheeks.

Skincare That Works Wonders

Face Masks For Dry Skin

We all have those moments where our skin is just freaking out and you feel totally out of control and just not yourself. Whenever this happens I have a few steps to bring my skin back to normal and along with drinking plenty of water there are a few products that I know I can always rely on. Firstly I always try and identify what the issue is, is my skin dry, flakey or breaking out? Once I've narrowed this part down I can then choose which products will work best.

I'm a huge skincare junkie, I love the power of what a great mask or cleanser can do to your complexion. Elemental Herbology is a new brand for me, I've seen rave reviews on a few other blogs and thought it was about time I tried it for myself. They're an all natural brand that work on adding goodness back into your skin to harmonise you complexion leaving you with healthy, happy skin. I've been using a few products over the past few months and they've firmly made their way into my 3 step routine.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I’m very picky when it comes to mascara’s, it very rare that I actually find something that can rival my beloved Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. There’s been a lot of hype around the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and having completely fallen in love with it over the past month (as featured in my August Favourites) I can say it’s totally justified and worth the hype. The packaging is beautiful, it’s a metallic pale pink casing that feels really weighty and high end. The brush is hourglass in shape with fibre bristles which I prefer to plastic wands as I think they really grab the lashes.

The reason I love this mascara over others I tried is in one application it gives super long, thick black lashes. I’m a big fan of big lashes, I think they really complete my make up and I hate when you have to apply over 3 coats to achieve that kind of end result. I would suggest using a light hand and the formula can be quite gloopy but if applied barely you can be left with almost fake looking lashes (in a good way) with minimal effort.

Given that the formula gives such black and thick lashes you would expect a lot of flaking throughout the day but I haven’t found this at all and I’ve also found that since being in Greece I don’t see any transfer under the eyes.

If you're on the hunt for a new mascara and love getting thick, long lashes within seconds then I definitely recommend trying out the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara!
