Clarins Autumn 2015 Collection

Clarins Autumn 2015 Collection

For Autumn 2015 Clarins have designed a collection that literally screams falling leaves, cosy sweaters and leather jackets. The range contains a mix of browns, purples and mauves which are all so perfect for fall.

Starting with the eyes the range contains the Pretty Day palette with 5 matte and shimmer shades (£33) ranging from pale beige to dark chocolate brown. The palette is super compact so perfect for travelling and comes with a tiny brush that actually has a useful soft bristle side. The shades all work really beautifully together and can be used to create a lovely brown smokey look or on their own for everyday.

The range also contains two Ombre Matte cream to powder shadow pots (£19) in the shades Carbon (black) and Heather (plum). I have the plum shade and it’s such an easy way to wear purple if you’re afraid of colour and it’s also so easy to apply all over the lid without just your finger. To go with the shadow pots there are also two Khol liners in Carbon Black and True Violet (£17). The pencils come with a tiny brush on one end which make it really quick and easy to blend out the liner to give a natural smokey eye. I think the violet liner looks a lot brighter than it actually comes out on the lid so if you’re looking for something a little different to black then I’d give this a go as it’s gives a subtle amount of colour without being too much.

I’m a huge fan of Clarins lip products, they make some of my favourite lip sticks and balms and this collection is no exception. The range contains two shades of their Rouge Eclat (£19.50) lipsticks- Tawny Rose (a beautiful browny nude shade) & Red Paprika (a deep red shade). The lipsticks contain a Nutri-Youth Complex to prevent the lips from dehydration and boost collagen, along with Vitamin E, Mimosa Jojoba and Sunflower which results is a lovely balm like texture.

Lastly are the Eyebrow Pencils (£17), which come in three shades to suit all hair colours. I have the shade Soft Blonde, which I find doesn’t give me the brow look that I usually go for but I think that’s because I have quite fine hair. I imagine these would work much better for people with fuller brows which only need a little defining.

If I were to recommend one product from the range it would be the Ombre Matte shadow pot in Heather as I adore the texture of these shadows and think the colour is so beautiful and unique.
