Summer Facial SPF Suncreams

I like to try and wear SPF all year round but when it comes to summer I really try to up the level of SPF I use. I think wearing SPF on your face is so important to protect from UVA rays but also pollution. Living in London I like to wear SPF 30-50 on my face to protect from both pollution and sunburn. Finding a product containing high SPF for the face that doesn’t feel too chalky, heavy or sticky can be difficult so I thought I’d share with you a few of my favourites.

The one I’ve already used the most this years is the Clarins UV Plus Anti-Pollution SPF 50 Day Cream. I love this product because it doesn’t smell of anything, is really lightweight and doesn’t feel sticky or greasy on the skin.

If you’re looking for a face SPF that is packed with protection the I’d recommend the Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Aging Triple Defence Shield Sunscreen SPF50 PA+++. It contains advanced technology to give triple defence (as the name suggests) against oxidation, stress from the sun, pollution and infrared-A exposure. It contains the most powerful anti-oxidant available and helps to repair existing sun damage. Despite having a huge list of skin protecting ingredients it also feels lovely and light on the skin.

The Radical Skin Perfecting SPF 30 Sunscreenis perfect for the summer as it’s matte so doesn’t leave any greasy residue what so ever and sits really well under make up. It also contains a product that covers the skin really beautifully and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

Lastly is the facial SPF I used last year and it’s the La Roche Posey Athelios Face Ultra Light Fluid SPF 50. I would say after discovering other facial SPF’s this is now my least favourite as it has a bit of an odd smell but it is the more affordable facial SPF from the list. Like all the others it’s very light but I’d definitely recommend having a sniff of it before buying as it’s not the nicest of scents.
