Products Worth The Hype

Beauty Products Worth The Hype

We are constantly bombarded by products that promise to be ‘amazing’, ‘holy grail status’, ‘the next best thing’ but a lot of the time the hype doesn’t live up to the actual product. I find that when a product is over hyped I don’t want to buy into it and tend to wait a while until I actually try it out. To help weed out the amazing with the over rated I’ve put together a list of 5 products that have been majorly loved in the beauty community that I actually think are worth the hype.

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil– I’ve mentioned this is many posts and videos before and it’s honestly the best cleanser I’ve ever used and it’s so affordable. It removes make up like nothing I’ve ever used with just one application and leaves my skin feeling lovely and clean. This is my 2 bottle of the stuff and I’ll most definitely be repurchasing.

Clarins Instant Light Concealer– This is a relatively new find for me, but I’ve used it non stop for nearly 2 months now and I can’t see myself using anything else. The thing I love the most about this is you can use to to cover dark circles, blemishes or even as a foundation when you don’t want to wear too much make up. I have the lightest shade (01) and I find that it really brightens my under eye area.

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm– Again this is a product that I’ve spoken about so much, but there really isn’t anything else out there that compares. It’s such a nourishing lip balm that leaves my lips feeling super soft and I love that it’s more of a matte texture so works really well under lip sticks.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation– this has been my go to foundation for almost a year now. I love the dewy finish it gives without looking cakey or over done. It doesn’t contain any SPF so is perfect for when you’re on a night out or having your photo taken as you won’t have any flash back.

Colab Dry Shampoo– I used to hate using dry shampoos as they always left my hair feeling heavy and sticky and my scalp feeling irritated. Since discovering Colab I find that second day hair can feel like first day hair and it doesn’t leave me with white patches or an irritated scalp. Well done Ruth Crilly!
