The Sunday Post: Birthday Spa Day

A few weekends ago my Mum and I went for a lovely spa weekend for her Birthday treat where we lounged around in the pool and were completely pampered by amazing Rowton Hall staff. I've only ever had one or two spa treatments but never a full spa day so I definitely wanted to make the most of everything they had to offer. To start with we had a good old swim in the pool and I attempted the sauna but lasted approximately 10 seconds before getting too hot and running back to the pool. Next we were treated to a lovely relaxed lunch and endless cups of tea before being whisked away to the beautifully zen relaxation room. For our first treatment we both opted for the back detox which consisted of a back massage and then a detox treatment on the back to rid all the nasty impurities. Next I had a very relaxing pedicure and my mum had a full detoxifying facial. To end our blissful day we headed back to the relaxation room where we leisurely munched on fruit and sunk into our huge bath robes. We left feeling like we were floating on air and promised we'd be back again as we wanted to try some more of their treatments. As my first experience of a full spa day I can definitely say that I wasn't disappointed, and would like to try and make these a regular treat.

  1. Oh this sounds like it was so much fun, I treated my mum for her birthday too, and really want to go back!

Definitely needs to be a regular treat :)

    Hmm maybe...

    1. Spa day's are such a good present and make an amazing birthday day out don't they?!
We definitely want to make this a regular treat, especially when you find somewhere really amazing :)
