Bank Holidaying

I love Bank
Holiday’s in London, especially when it’s sunny; everyone just seems so happy
and care free.

I was a
little ill this weekend so my aim was to try and do as little as possible, which I
failed miserably at as I’m not very good at not doing very much.

On Saturday
T and I went to a friend’s BBQ in Shoreditch and made the most of the lovely
weather. We then went to meet my best friend from uni and her boyfriend for
dinner and drinks in London Bridge. Our original plan was to go to Sushi Samba
and show them the beautiful view and then Hawksmoore, but Sushi Samba was
closed (boo) and so was Hawksmoore! So instead we went the Hide bar on
Bermondsey Street and Gaucho for some lovely juicy steaks, with possibly the
best table in the house.

On Sunday T
and I went for a little wander around Oxford Street then Piccolino’s for an
early supper before heading out to Madisons for cocktails to watch the sunset.

As one of
my friends from Cheshire was in London for the weekend with her boyfriend I
went to meet them in Chelsea for a late lunch at the Bluebird and some scrummy
gelato whilst we strolled around enjoying the sun.

I really
hope that this is the start of a hot, sunny summer but I won’t hold my breath
as the rest of this week if forecast for rain, of course.
