Burberry Prorsum A/W13

Everything from the clothes to the music to the models and the make-up were absolutely stunning in this seasons Burberry A/W fashion show. Christopher Bailey entitled this collection Trench Kisses and I believe to be one of his best yet. I absolutely love the heritage of Burberry so I love that Bailey is constantly thinking of new ways to invent the classic trench.

GlossyBox-February

This month’s GlossyBox had a Valentine’s Day theme for both the pretty box design and the products inside, which included a little red heart shaped lollypop! The Anatomicals shower gel smells lovely of roses, I’ve used this a few times and I really quite like it. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the lipstick colour as it has a glittery tint to it which I don’t really think matches the colour. I haven’t tried the mineral eye shadow yet, but I always wear browns as I have blue eyes, so I’m sure I’ll use this. I really don’t like the he Fat Cat mascara as I like that have both volume and length and this mascara doesn’t really do either, and is more of a charcoal colour rather than black. I like the Sassoon shine spray as it’s a handy size to carry around and it smells nice too. Overall, this month’s box is okay, I haven’t been blown away with any of the products and probably wouldn’t choose purchase any of them myself but it’s always good to try different things.

GlossyBox January 2012

This is the first Glossybox that I have received as I'm a new subscriber, but I can already say that I'm a fan. I love the idea of being able to try lots of different mini sized products instead of committing to larger sizes. This months GlossyBox had a Detox theme for January.

I'm looking forward to trying the Paul Mitchell conditioner as it smells lovely, and I know that mint generally stimulates the scalp to help hair growth. I'm also looking forward to trying the Premae face toner as I've been wanting to try a new toner for a while, so this is quite handy. I generally have a lot of lip balms, so the Jason lip balm was welcomed with open arms, it also smells like after eight mints, which is lovely. I'm intrigued to see the results of the Sanctuary Spa mask, as the product description says that after the first use you should see results of smoother, glowing, more youthful skin, so I guess we'll see. I think the sleep mask is very cute, but personally I don't like to wear them as I find them uncomfortable to sleep in.

Overall, I'm very happy with my first GlossyBox and will most definitely be continuing my subscription.

I'm really looking forward to the February Box as I'm hoping there's some Valentine's Day goodies in there.

Valentine's Day Outfits

As it's Valentine's Day this week, I thought I'd do a little post about different outfits to wear. Everyone seems to have a different opinion about Valentine's Day, but whether you love it or hate it you can't get away from it. Personally, I love the idea of Valentine's day, as it's a chance to show someone how much you love them, even if it was created by Hallmark. I don't really think it matters what you do on the day, just as long as you're with that special someone.

Bag- Chanel

Or if you fancy something a little more low key, then you could just have a cosy night in with a nice home cooked dinner and these adorable love heart leggings from Jack Wills.

What ever you do, I hope you have a lovely day.

Soap & Glory- The Scrub Of Your Life

I'm a huge fan of the Soap & Glory range, all of their products smell incredible and leave our skin feeling amazing. I've been using the 'Scrub Of You Life' for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I tend to use it after I've done everything else in the shower, washed my hair etc and then just to buff away any areas of dry skin left from the winter months. The label says that it's the ultimate super-smoothing body buffer, and I couldn't agree more.

Soap & Glory suggest that this scrub works on elbows, shins, and knees but I tend it use it all over my arms and legs too, as I tend to get really dry patches in these areas during the winter. I find that this product makes my skin feel so silky before I moisturize and really don't think I could rave about it enough.

Diptyque Rose Duet

I absolutely love candles, I think they make any room both look and smell amazing. I especially like rose scented candles. So when I saw that Diptyque had released a new special edition candle, the Rose Duet, I got very excited. It's a combination of their two popular scents of Roses and Baies, inspired by a beautiful hybrid rose, which is light on one side and dark on the other. I also love the packaging of this candle too, it's such a lovely twist on their original design.

Selfridges also have a beautiful gift set containing the new candle.

For me, this would be the perfect gift for Valentines Day, and would really set the romantic mood whilst getting ready for a date.

My Weekend #2

This weekend was a bit of a hectic one filled with reunions with University friends, a lot of food (as always), plenty of wine and lots of dancing. I started my weekend on Friday night in B-Soho, with huge pizza's, wine and lots of gossiping.

After demolishing 3 huge pizza's and two bottles of wine we then headed to meet some more friends at the re-opening of Bar Soho. I've been going to Bar Soho for a few years now, as I find it's always a really fun and easy place to meet friends after work. I loved their new refurbishment, which had a hint of gothic-ness to it.... and their cocktails weren't bad either :)

Feeling slightly hungover on Saturday, my housemate and I headed for a lovely, civilized Tea for Two afternoon at the Courthouse Hotel (shown above at night). It was such a lovely afternoon filled with champagne, cakes, finger sandwiches and tea.

On Saturday night, I went out for a friends birthday around Covent Garden, and this was the  only photo I managed to take as there was lots of dancing.

Be aware of people around- in a bar?! Never!

On Sunday, my Boyfriend and I decided to try Burger and Lobster as it's been on my list of 'Places to eat' for a while now. He had the burger and I had the lobster, then we shared. I found this place had such a fun buzz about it, almost like an American diner.  There are no menus, you either have a burger (which are huge), lobster, or a cold lobster sandwich with fries and salad. Yummy.

We then headed for a little stroll around the V&A then headed back home to make vegetable noodle soup. A lovely Sunday all in all.

I know it's no longer the weekend, but I went to Tayyabs tonight in East London and really wanted to write about it. I'd heard so much hype about this place but it really was amazing. I love Indian food, and this really was excellent. Especially the lamb chops in the meat grill. I would highly recommend this place however, you need to get here early as I've heard the queues get a bit ridiculous.
